🍼💙 Help Us Shower Our Military Families With Love! 💙🍼
USO Great Lakes is hosting a special Baby Shower for our amazing military families, and we would love your help making it extra special.
A Target registry has been created with items the families need as they welcome their newest little additions. Every gift — big or small — is a wonderful way to show these families how much their service and sacrifice are appreciated.

National Security Committee chairman Patty Moreland Grigutis, reached out to the Great Lakes USO to see what can be done to make life a little better for our active military members and found out that the Great Lakes USO Music Room needed a drum set. Last October, unit 697 hosted their monthly Bunco and the funds raised were used to purchase this Drum.
We are extremely grateful for all that our military does for us and excited that our Bunco community once again showed up to support another mission to help our active military. |
❤️ A Little Fun for Those Who Serve ❤️
The Edward Schultz American Legion Auxiliary recently donated 10 Pool Cues to the Great Lakes USO to help bring some fun and relaxation to our service members. The USO does incredible work every day supporting our military, and we’re proud to do our small part to help provide a little downtime, laughter, and friendly competition for the men and women who serve our country. Because even heroes deserve time to unwind. ❤️🤍💙 If you appreciate our service members and everything they do, drop a 🇺🇸 in the comments to show your support! |
Our National Security Committee, chaired by Patty G., reached out to our USO Illinois contact at Great Lakes and asked, **“What is something you could really use?”**
Their answer? A **Blackstone griddle and a cooler.** Well… no request is too much when it comes to supporting the men and women who serve and protect our country! We’re so glad they were able to put them to good use and enjoy some time together with a cookout. And here’s something important for our members and supporters to know: when you see us holding a raffle, tipping a board, or raising money for our **National Security Committee**, this is one example of exactly where your support goes. **Your participation helps us support programs like USO Illinois and the service members they serve.** Thank you for helping Unit 697 continue to make a difference! |
Thank You to all who donated!
Our collection sent a lot of love from our area. This collection was more than we hoped for from our community. All of the support sent about 14 boxes and over 300lbs of supplies. Thank you again for remembering our troops!
